Thinking On Your Favorite Things

Thinking On Your Favorite Things

This design was the idea behind this My Favorite Things Christmas 23 Collection.  In a time of great transition, I was praying about the stress of it, and suddenly I had a vision of the image of stress with a big red bow on it and heard the words,
This is a gift”.
Then I heard the song from The Sound of Music, “Favorite Things” in my spirit.
After the whirlwind of change in our lives ,
there are some loose ends and a lot of rubble.
But then we can rebuild!
This is the “START OVER” GIFT!
When we go through transitions , there are new structures and routines we have to learn. Coming out the old ways and developing new rhythms is hard.  It can seem like life is fragmented.
It's good to sit with Jesus and look for the good.
Philippians 4:8 tells us “ Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.“
That’s what I always think about when I hear the song “Favorite Things”.
Julie Andrews tells the children in her care that whenever something is painful or sad-Just think on your favorite things.
So if you are in transition, trying to make things fit in a new way, in a hard place, or sad- remember to fix your thoughts on what is good.  Ask God to help you.  And consider, this just might be a gift.
Blessings,
Kat
